Join the NEBPC Systems Alignment Working Group

Join the discussion about making the transition between K-12 and post-secondary more seamless for students, especially focused on awarding early college credit. Our goals in 2016 include:
  • Increase course-to-course articulation between K-12 and community college, and foster adoption of the "Framework for Effective Practice" Recommendations

  • Expand student access to dual enrollment credit, and begin to identify promising practices through regional exchange

  • Institutionalize early matriculation practices among high schools, as well as promote alignment in practices across colleges

 High School Articulation Resources

  • Articulation Handbook (v 4.0) contains guidance and promising practices around high school articulation, and is a living document that periodically incorporates new innovations and practices. The handbook was developed by North & East Bay Pathways Consortium stakeholders, in collaboration with the South West SB1070 consortium. View the overview powerpoint presentation, or this Spring 2016 webinar for a Handbook recap.
  • CATEMA is a web interface that enables K-12 schools and college districts to more seamlessly share information about student participation and performance in early college credit courses. Through the Chancellor's Office CTE Data Unlocked initiative (starting in 2016), Colleges will receive CATEMA licensing and technical assistance for three years with no cost. Learn more about CATEMA: overview presentation and licensing and quick-start guide
  • Example articulation processes/agreements documented online from Diablo Valley College, Los Medanos College and Las Positas College
